Weller had his 8 week follow up visit last Monday and his bone is completely healed and staying in the correct position. The doctor did find some scar tissue on the tendon and inflammation in the joint but other than that he was very happy with it so we're working him up to his pre-surgery walk and exercise routine. Being house bound for 8 weeks has made him completely insane. Also, he cracked two molars (DO NOT LET YOUR DOGS CHEW BONES!) and one of them is being pulled out next week. The vet suggested a root canal as a better option, but it's about a grand to do that so we're just yanking it out. It should be painful and the tooth is so large they have to crack it in half to remove it properly. Poor Weller is going to hate us all....
The other dog in the photo is an Italian Greyhound I was dogsitting for the week we got home. You can see it was a 3-ring circus. And though it looks brutal, they're just playing.
