Weller had surgery today for a grade 3 luxating patella. Though he wasn't limping or sore, the doctor was concerned about future arthritis crippling the joint. He had his surgery at the 5th Avenue Vet Specialist here in Manhattan and Dr. Pacciana was wonderful. I can't pick him up until tomorrow but surgery went great and they found a legion on his kneecap and a new bone groove forming from the misaligned joint which validated our decision. Needless to say I can't wait to have that little maniac back in my arms.
