Farmers market is banging! It's about time. Still opted to get the berries at Whole Food as they were on sale for 2.99 a container and the market had them for much more and they were in bad shape. Here we have red potatoes, carrots, rainbow chard, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, whole milk (for Kurt's amazing lattes), Peas in the pod, broccoli, and 1/2 and 1/2. It's important when buying dairy to buy from small farms. Why? Well, the factory farms that consistently keep cows pregnant to produce milk confine the calves to small crates where many die being seperated from their moms so young. The females continue on their miserable existence to become diary cows themselves..and the calves become veal. If you consume meat and animal products, do it humanely. Pay more for the products that ensure the animals were treated well before slaughter. If you can't watch the videos and see the photos of what happens to animals at factory farms, then you shouldn't eat them either.
