Kurt and I watched this food show on Iceland and they talked about this Icelandic skyr so I picked one up at Commodities (but Whole Foods has it too).
It's made locally in NY state, by cows that live happy lives and aren't pumped full of hormones or antibiotics.

Even though it would seem to be flavored, it was not sweet at all (which the show we watch eluded to).

All the fruit was really ripe, but I still put a little brown sugar on top of the skyr.

Close-up. Pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, plums, and bananas.

We had Kurt's wonderful lattes (as it already was not a vegan morning) with whole milk from
Ronnybrook farm.

Deliciousness!

Wait. So you mean there are Vikings living in upstate New York making skyr and hugging cows?
