Maybe they just enjoy paper products.

The last couple boxes of dog biscuits I bought were vegetarian (parsley-mint, peanut butter, and carob chip) so I tried each of them and determined they all tasted the same and they all tasted like cardboard (remember my doggie bagels and kibble adventures?). I decided to try my hand at an organic home-made version.Put all ingredients in a bowl. 1 Can pumpkin, 4 eggs, salt, cinnamon, 4 Tbsp peanut butter, 5 cups flour.
Rough mix with a pastry knife.
Then knead it by hand.
Pretty sure someone was suppose to give me a dog-bone shaped cookie cutter but for now it's circles.
Going in.
Anticipation.

Ta-Da! So they didn't really taste like anything. Not Cinnamon, not pumpkin, and definitely not peanut butter. They sorta reminded me of a very hard bread with a hint of sweetness. Dogs loved them though-and they are cheaper than store-bought so I guess I'll try again!
