You can tell summer is ending by a visit to the farmer's market or grocery store. Strawberries are back up to 5 or 6 bucks, and you're lucky to find any of the other berries at all. So we tried some different things.
These are black plums, black mission figs, and strawberries. Kurt had started eating figs at his last job. We decided they make us more cultured. They apparently are really easy to grow. My next endeavor will be a fig tree.
Here is the finished product. I also grabbed some pears, which are not included here.
