Espana. Dia Una. Barcelona

We got on a plain in NYC at 5:30 p.m. We flew for seven sleepless hours and landed in Barcelona at 6:30 a.m. It was so early we figured we might as well try the trains and though we made about every mistake possible it only took 25 minutes and under 10 euros for both of us. A pain with our oversized duffels but you know I love saving money! Las Ramblas. Our first view of the city coming out of the Metro. We used our GPS on walking mode to navigate the few blocks to the hotel. Amazingly they let us check in at 8:30 a.m. and we showered and napped for a few hours until Rob and Natalie arrived from England (also staying at our hotel).

My classy American-in-Barcelona breakfast/lunch.

mmmm...crepes....

For Mandy.

This is the face a horse makes when it hates the horse next to it.

I'm going to bed. My brain and my body cannot agree on what time it is.

Wow. You're first day looks awesome! Ice cream in Las Ramblas, La Sagrada Familia, the Mediterranean Sea! Ah, so jealous!
