My favorite way to start the day! I heard some meowing and walked outside only to find this little kitten with a stumpy tail playing on the front porch. He stuck around for an hour or so.
Around noon we finally pulled ourselves together and found a vegan restaurant downtown we wanted to check out. We were glad to have somewhere organic and local and pure to eat. It's called Zephyr and overall it was good. Kurt had a veggie BLT with a Mediterranean salad and I had a veggie sandwich with spring rolls.
We were only at Zephyr for about an hour and then we headed ALL OVER Long Beach going to record stores, mid-century furniture showrooms, and vintage clothing shops. We also found a cute little wine shop on 4th near Cherry were we picked up 2 bottles for dinner. That purchase inspired us to grab some dinner at Whole Foods. 
We ate, we drank, had cake, and watched Ratatouille.
